Clean Catalog offers course catalog, curriculum management, and student handbook software (and more) in whatever combination works for your organization. For Villanova University, we have one site for their College of Liberal Arts and Sciences catalog, and a separate site for their student handbook.

We recently spoke with Nick Tumolo, Villanova's Assistant Dean of Students, about transitioning their student handbook to Clean Catalog.

What was your online catalog system like before Clean Catalog? What prompted the switch to our program?

Prior to Clean Catalog, we did not have an online catalog system for our Student Handbook. Rather, our handbook was simply a word document that we would convert to a PDF and put in an e-flipbook on our website. We were looking for a much more robust, user-friendly, digital option (that would be easy to edit and update), and this prompted our switch to Clean Catalog.

How was the process of changing over to Clean Catalog? Did it take long to get the hang of it?

The process of transitioning to Clean Catalog could not have been more simple. The staff were super helpful and effective in getting everything set-up, and were extremely responsive to any questions. The system is very easy to use and get a hang of. It was a near flawless transition!

What's been the feedback from administrators/departments who need to edit pages?

Very positive! Everyone has been pleased and impressed with the functionality of Clean Catalog, and we’ve gotten great feedback on how professional it looks.

What's been the feedback from students?

Also positive! The user-friendliness of the layout and the search functions make our handbook more accessible and easy to use for students than ever before.

What do you like best about Clean Catalog? Is there anything you'd change about it if you could?

Villanova has been extremely happy with Clean Catalog, all around. The customer service is exceptional, and I really appreciate the amount of personal attention given so we could customize our Handbook in a way that works for us. I like how easy it is to make quick edits and changes, and the layout and look of the Handbook is highly professional, user-friendly, and blends seamlessly with the rest of our webpages. I also find the PDF function to be very useful.

Would you recommend our program to other colleges?

I would absolutely recommend this program to other colleges! Villanova loves Clean Catalog!
